    110100 - Gardening Classes

Willoughby Heritage Farm is more than just a piece of property. As part of the Collinsville Area Recreation District (CARD), the land has become a place where the history comes to life through historic structures, original tools, replica gardens and a restored environment. Along with the barns, farm tools and live animals, farm staff and volunteers have created over three miles of hiking trails in the woodland and prairie.
The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners are lending their expertise to teach the following 60-90 minute-long classes at Willoughby Heritage Farm.: Want to grow some of your own food? This class will have discussions of the what's, when's, and how's of growing vegetables.

Particular focus: Picking a spot, preparing soil, what and when to plant, and general garden care tips.

This class is FREE! Donations are welcome and all proceeds go to the Willoughby Farm Gardening Extention Program. Please register early as this is a limited availability event.
